Sei Smith was born in New York City on the second day of the nineties. Visually Sei draws from time to time; linguistically Sei draws from absurdity and mostly in english. He has shown at various galleries and museums, including The Smart Museum, Mana Contemporary and The Toolshed, but he is most proud of the work he's done with woodland creatures and cinnamon.

In 2012, Sei co-founded a gallery and night club called Apostrophe NYC. Since then, Apostrophe NYC has become an untethered art entity that Sei blows on; half like wind in a sail and half to cool the coffee. Currently, Sei conducts his mental menagerie from Jersey City, where he is making art, watching TV and playing music with his band Casper Television.
